One of my new blog reads wrote a great post entitled How do you measure your fitness level? Well, to answer that question, I don’t.
Okay, that’s not entirely true. First, it is my womanly duty to measure my fitness level on the scale of all the women who hate me (and there are a lot). Thankfully, my “fitness level” — as well as my “intelligence level” — is higher than all these broads.
I also use my scale to “measure”… except when the number is higher than it was the last time I was on it. At that point, something is either wrong with the scale or “I’m building muscle”.
I’ve actually been really good since I did the Isagenix cleanse almost three months ago. I’ve been working out an average of 4-5 days a week with my brother. You think having a trainer is hard? Try doing push-ups next to someone yelling, “Timmy can do better push-ups than you!! And he’s 12!!!” Timmy’s my nephew. Good times. (Note: This is the point where all the women mentioned above who hate me start boasting about how many push-ups they can do. Well, if my arms were that big…)
So I’ve finally got back into the rhythm of working out regularly. My brother also helped me create a workout schedule so that I get a full body workout by the end of each week which has helped tremendously. Women, the majority of us go about exercise in the wrong way, I tell ya! I’ve learned so much.
There is one setback to the idea of working out 4-5 days a week.. and that is simply that there are 7 days in a week. I’ve been trying to figure out how to manage those 2-3 days away from the gym so that I don’t spend those 4-5 days working off all the crap I put on during the 2-3 days. Did you follow that?
So YES — I ordered this new Nintendo DS “game” called My Weight Loss Coach. It’s scheduled for release at the end of the month and is pretty unique. The actual cartridge that plugs into the DS also serves as a pedometer, so the “game” is really a means of keeping track of your daily activity, both exercise-related and food-related:
We’ll see how it plays out. Hopefully this purchase isn’t just evidence that I’m addicted to my DS. Ha!

Haha! Hmmm..I think you’re just addicted. Lol JK. That thing about Timmy cracked me up. Honestly, if I worked out with Uncle Fred I wouldnt be able to stop laughing. Haha. Well umm keep up the good work I guess! No more Drumsticks!! LOL. See ya later…
@joseph. ugh – the drumstick!! you just HAD to remind me, didn’t you??! hahaha.
Well congatulations on your accomplishments! You SHOULD brag about your success.
I guess brother’s are good for somethings other than fighting. LOL
The Nintendo ‘game’ looks like it could come in handy. I don’t own a Nintendo DS unfortunately.
I also agree, the days your not working out can be difficult. It’s amazing what your rationalization will be for eating that icecream (I’ll just run extra, or I’ll do heavier weights to burn off those extra calories).
Great post and thanks for the link *wink**wink*.
That is crazy, yet, interesting that Nintendo came out with a measuring software for the DS Lite. I’m intrigued!
Man, you have got me whooped as far as workout goes! I suspended my 24 hour membership until winter time lol I need that extra cash to travel this summer. meh..
ever since you’ve blogged about the sims 2 castaway, i’ve put aside animal crossing and gave the sims a try. then i remembered how i hated how my sims (i used to play the urbz on xbox) demanded so much food and needed to pee so much so i haven’t played in a while. i will definitely check out the weight loss coach — because i’m a DS addict as well.
@lorefel. hey lorra – my sims are the same way! mine always pass out because i don’t feed them in time. haha. but i just learned that you can go to the map, click on a location (e.g. house, bush — which is where the sims in sims castaway pee, etc.) and it’ll take you there instantly. all this time, every time i needed to go to the bathroom, i’d run around aimlessly looking for a bush. haha. who knew?!… or did everyone know that except me? ;)
haha. yea i knew. good for you though for still playing after all that.
