BLOG PROJECT: A Great Initiative for Bloggers.
A few weeks ago, I was reading this post on MyStrongMedicine.com that linked to a great idea from Chuck Westbrook.
The ultimate goal? Ending the Tragedy of Under-Appreciated Blogs. Can I get an “Amen”?
Not to say my blog is under-appreciated. Truth is, I’ve kept it kind of private since I couldn’t seem to dedicate an ample amount of time to updating and maintaining the site. Now that I’m unemployed, though, I’m looking forward to having more time to focus on the site. Maybe I can start shaking things up and making things “matter”. So far my biggest fans are my nieces and nephews — Hi guys! ;) — but that goes without saying. With or without the site, they’ll always be loyal to Auntie Gemmerzz. (Yes, they actually call me that.)
So if you’re up for it, join in on the fun! You can gain hits, readers, and/or friends along the way. The worst that can happen: Nothing changes. Couldn’t hurt, right?
Chuck’s first pick is Zoe Westhof who blogs at Essential Prose. I’m catching up on her posts since I’ve just returned from vacation and Chuck will be announcing the next blogger some time soon.
Whether or not GEMMERZZ.com ever gets chosen, I’m already enjoying this concept. I’ve picked up a few great reads in the process! Great idea, Chuck. Thanks for the opportunity!
