It’s a Wrap! #3 [03.21.2009]

Much like Janna, I had a tough time with this week’s favorites, but mainly because the worst only happened a few hours ago. Hopefully as I work backwards, I’ll start to feel better about my week! Here goes…

It’s Saturday, the week’s a wrap, and here are the things that made me smile this week:

On Sunday, after Saturday turned out to require an emergency visit to Urgent Care due to chest pains, I stayed in bed all day. Can’t say there’s anything really wrong with lying in bed for 24 hours on 800mg Motrin and many Vicodins.

Still in plenty of pain on Monday, but I was a trooper and I dragged my little booty out of bed. Proud moment.

On Tuesday, I studied for hours for my test the following day. I learned that a cup of hot tea at Panera is bottomless. Woot. Wrapped up the day with favorite guy and favorite dog… and our guilty pleasure, BGC.

On Wednesday, I think I aced my QBA exam. I’m so ready to be done with all classes related to Math and/or Finance. (If I didn’t ace my exam, I’m sure you’ll read about it in another post, but I’m crossing fingers…)

Thursday was great because I got to talk to Eric and Kaye. (Hi Eric.) Their baby shower is next Saturday already — yikes!! I’m stoked, but there is so much to do and so little time. (Hi Eric.)

Friday started off as a fabulous day. Woke up with a smile, took care of a “bajillion” errands, got a much needed massage where the therapist apologized for going fifteen minutes over (yes, I fell in love with her), then met up with Jocelyn for happy hour at Zebulon. We were joined with a few more people and three glasses of wine later… I finished the night with In-N-Out and an argument. But did I mention, In-N-Out?

;)

Saturday morning is here and Jack Johnson’s on rotation. Know what that means? It’s a cleaning day, Lucy!! Then I get to get dolled up for a party tonight with many of my favorite people. Pictures, I’m sure, will follow.

How were your weeks??

Are you all better? What’s In-N-Out? Am too old to understand? Don’t you just love cleaning day, I know I am weird. Go have fun.

    Your blog looks great!!!
Hey, I’m definitely a follower but on the side it has only two, is that just from facebook?
Well, I’m still scoping it out. I miss your cute pictures :)

Like I said enjoy your evening!!!

I am so glad to hear that you feel better. Chest pain is no joke!

I believe that you aced your exam. You’re smart girl and I believe that you’ll get an ‘A’ in your class.

Good wrap-up of your week. Hope you have another good one!

  4. Janna says:

oops that should say, ugh, I am sorry you were having chest pains, and I’m glad to hear that you feel better.

  5. Marjie says:

Wow….busy week I should say. Glad to know the pain is slipping away (I assume). I know how does in-bed-days are like, only I endulge in percocet and ibuprofens. =)

@Lucy, @BIBI, @Janna, and @Marjie: Definitely feeling better! They seem to think it’s a flashback to a condition I had in my early teenage years called costochondritis which is just an inflammation and can be treated with ibuprofen. Nothing too serious although quite uncomfortable! But I do feel much better, thank you all!!

@Lucy: Yes, those followers are a network from Facebook which I just started doing. I’m trying to figure out how to get the Google/Blogger widget in there, too. And with regard to the pictures, I really had to get rid of them… every time I tried hopping on the site while I was in class, I was too conscious of what the people behind me were thinking while I was surfing a site with my face plastered all over it. Hee hee!

@BIBI: The countdown is on — I will find out about my test in seven days. Yikes!

@Marjie: If I could only get my hands on some percocet… ;)

@Lucy: OH! In-N-Out is a fast food burger joint we’ve got out here in California. Being a Chicago native, I know it’s not everywhere and it’s unfortunate!
