I know, I know — I’m late. It’s Sunday. I already do my Friday Favorites on Saturdays and am still late. If there were blog police, rest assured I’d turn my own butt in.

It’s Sunday, the week wrapped up yesterday, and here are the things that made me smile this week:

First of all, last Saturday night with my favorite ladies (Joce and May) was the best fun I’d had in so long. The three of us were joined by my favorite guy and one of his friends on a barhop frenzy. There was dancing in the rain, there was champagne and Chambord, there was music, and there was a crackhead who we tried to buy an umbrella off of who turned around and screamed, “Don’t talk to me, man — I’m tryin’ to get hiiiiiigh.” No joke!

Sunday, accidentally slept in and missed church. Always bums me out when that happens because my school study sessions often pull me away, so I really want to be at church on the Sundays I can be. I met up with the gals for our weekly WOMANce brunch — derived from favorite guy’s BROmance dinners — and shared cheesecake with them. Can’t complain about cheesecake, eh?

Monday: First day of Spring Break. Had fun with Eric and Kaye (Hi Eric.) picking out decorations for the baby shower that, in turn, were not used. They didn’t even wear the “Mommy to be” and “Daddy to be” medals. We should return them, guys. I would use them for one of my future baby showers, but we all know I’m opting for the pink (or blue) boa and the pimp hat. It’s totally my style.

Tuesday: Second day of Spring Break. Had an energy drink very early in the morning and, after midnight that night, couldn’t stop poking favorite guy saying, “I’m not sleepy — you awake? I can’t sleep — what are you doing?” He hated me and ironically, it made me smile. Oops.

Wednesday: Third day of Spring Break. Had happy hour with the girls and had a surprise visit from favorite guy. Surprise visit or spying? Hmmm. ;)

Thursday: Fourth day of Spring Break and two words — prime rib. Okay, okay… five words — prime rib with favorite guy. There.

Friday: Last day of Spring Break. Finished baking 100+ cookies for Kaye and Eric’s (Hi Eric.) baby shower favors. Whew. Had dinner for Mervyn’s birthday with our friends. My lovelies joined us after dinner and I got the phone number of our gay waiter. Is that weird? We totally clicked and want to hang out. Actually, if you’ve spent any time with me whatsoever, you’d say, “No Gemma, that’s not weird — I’m not surprised one bit.”

Saturday: BIG BABY SHOWER DAY!! I had favorite dog with me all day, so we started the day with her very first doggie date with Phoebe, Joce’s dog! We took the poor things on a 5-mile walk around Lake Merced. The girls (dogs) were pooped and not very happy that mommies forgot their water in the car!! Tsk, tsk, mommies. We know better for next time. They were troopers, as were we. 5 miles is no joke! Bailey had more doggie date fun with Kaye and Eric’s (Hi Eric.) dog, Rocky, and his brother, Ace. Ace had a little more fun than Rocky. He was able to mount. Poor, poor Bailey. The baby shower was a blast and I’ll have a dedicated post about the shower and its successes and failures. Seemed like everyone had a wonderful time… except how it ended for Bailey. Hee hee.

Off to WOMANce with the ladies. Bottomless mimosas? Not a shabby way to start off the week. How were your weeks??
